Life changes and a move was necessary. No more rentals, rules, condo boards are out and being attached to my neighbour is no longer desired. Furthermore, time is of the essence and I need a lot of boxes checked with only a meagre mortgage range pre-approved.
On September 8th I decided my next move was back into ownership so I called my last realtor, Jason Hunter who I learned was now working with Odell. Jason was out of town for the first few days so Odell Ramcharan gets me started and immediately I am aware of why I needed a realtor not a website. First, having a professional eye with me changed the experience of sorting through the websites and viewings but also because realtors get the listings sooner than the public websites. Shortly after meeting and a few viewings later a house appears, the owner has knocked 10% off of their price and I’m in on the bidding ahead of the pack. When the dust settles I’m the proud owner of a new home with a possession date of Nov 1. Less than two months from idea to possession. Happy customer.
Having just moved to a new employer, and with an unusual work schedule, served to keep things interesting as Jason and Odell flawlessly walked me through the minefield. When I didn’t like my insurance company's rate they sent me a list of alternates, when my mortgage broker wasn’t able to make my numbers work satisfactorily I reached out again and was supplied some options. They offered options for house inspectors and when there was a concern with the basement floor drain not only did they supply me with choices they came over and had some valuable suggestions. Finally, they suggested and supplied a preferred locksmith option. Although I did not always select from their service provider choices the lists got my wheels spinning in the right direction and helped me make informed decisions.
I can’t imagine how I would have done this without their help. I am in and I am loving it! Thanks guys.
